Arguments about who makes the city’s best tacos have eclipsed best burger conversations. This little taquería, tucked around the corner from the Picasso Museum, is a serious contender. Mexican-Guatemalan founder Guillermo and his Swedish-Chilean girlfriend Patricia have created an Instagram-worthy space.
The simple menu features five tacos, including the Carnitas (pork, coriando and cilantro), Lupita (beef, chorizo in chili sauce, sour cream and onion) and vegetarian La Jardinera. There are starters like nachos and desserts such as tres leches or Mexican cheesecake.
Everything is homemade and gluten free. Accompany with a Mexican beer, margarita or michelada, then head to the open-air terrace for tequila and mezcal.
