This cozy bar in Gràcia is popular with locals, and it’s easy to see why – it’s a unique place with vintage kitsch décor and great food and drink. They’re known for their weekend brunch, a good deal with two starters (like Cumberland sausage, Eggs Benedict or beans), a pancake, buffet of quiches, salad, cured meats and more plus juice, coffee or tea and refills on Mimosas and Bloody Marys for €18; a reservation is essential.
It’s a good stop too at all hours for a drink or a casual bite to eat. They serve many vegeterian dishes like gourmet sandwiches with delicious veggie substitutions such as soy curry “chicken,” soy bbq “chicken” and a soy “meatball” sandwich. There’s an impressive range of cocktails; try the ginger-pineapple mojito. Stop by on Monday for €3 mojitos, Wednesday for a free tapa with a glass of wine or Thursday for half off your second cocktail.
As with their newer bar, Avenue, owner Carla and her team have created a lovely place to while away the hours.
