IR Presents Pampa Records
By Kit Macdonald
Indigo Raw’s parties at El Monasterio are always among the hottest tickets of Sónar week, and this year’s offering from Berlin’s Pampa Records has a particularly unmissable look to it. Label boss DJ Koze headlines as usual, with no less than five fellow fellow Germans joining him over 12 hours.
Robag Wruhme whose most recent Pampa outing, last year’s Cybekks EP, falls into the “essential” category - and Ada turn in DJ sets, and there are live shows from veteran producer Isolée and Koze protégé Die Vögel. Stockholm legend and Studio Barnhus cofounder Axel Boman, whose 2015 Pampa debut “1979” was a perfect fit for the label’s simmering, gently euphoric aesthetic, completes one of the strongest lineups “off Sónar” has to offer this year.
Update: advance tickets are sold out, but a few will be available at the door from 8pm.
