Love & Hope International Film Festival Barcelona (L’HIFF) brings an independent, international mix of films to the city, with a programme built around new voices and the idea of cinema as a space for connection. Founded in 2020, the festival has grown into a celebrated meeting point for directors, actors, producers and film lovers from around the world.

The 2026 edition screens at Cinema Maldà, with a lineup spanning feature films, shorts, documentaries, drama, horror, sci-fi, animation, experimental work, LGBTQ+ stories, music and dance films. This year’s selection includes opening films Stories by Brandon Keeton and MÀQUINA by Joaquim Adrià Pujol, alongside titles such as The Photographer on the Island, Why Andorra?, The Window on Death Row, and 60 is the New Puberty.

Alongside the screenings, L’HIFF keeps us entertained with Q&As, networking events, parties and its final awards night.
