A Passion for Cinema is the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès’ Easter-season celebration of film music that leans into the epic side of the big screen. Under Isabel Rubio, the orchestra is joined by a choir lineup from across Catalunya, turning it into a full choral-symphonic event.

The programme pulls together instantly recognisable works linked to cinema history and its imagery: a suite from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar, Ennio Morricone’s The Mission, plus two Hans Zimmer set pieces - “160 BPM” from Angels & Demons and “Chevaliers of Sangreal” from The Da Vinci Code - before closing with Miklós Rózsa’s Ben-Hur suite.

There’s also a narrative/visual layer with Luis Posada appearing as narrator, and images from Iván Mardones. So the night is a cinematic journey, not just a concert of cues.
