Anamanaguchi
By Kit Macdonald

Anamanaguchi are a New York four-piece who formed around 20 years ago and became known for programming their early tracks on Nintendo cartridges and have turned videogame nostalgia into a full-spectrum pop universe. The band blend chiptune sounds made with vintage Nintendo hardware with breakneck punk energy, emo melodies and glossy electronic production, and they made a great leap forward in popular recognition in 2010 when they contributed the soundtrack to Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
The band are currently touring their 2025 album Anyway, on which they have taken a step away from chiptune and towards alt/indie rock. Support comes from Henshin!, doors are at 8.30pm, and tickets are available on Dice.
