KBr Flama’26
By Charlotte Stace

KBr Flama’26 returns to Fundación MAPFRE’s photography centre with a new selection of emerging talent from Barcelona’s photography schools. This annual exhibition is designed as a platform for young photographers at the beginning of their careers, giving space to new projects, new approaches and new ways of thinking through the image.
This year’s edition features work by Sara Bravo, Elena Bulet i Llopis, Meghan Mathews and Luca Gaetano Pira, who have been selected by a jury composed of Roser Cambray, Carles Guerra, and Cristina de Middel. The four projects share a common impulse: they all start from personal experience and speak to a universal relevance. The works this year address issues around the LGBTIQA+ community, family memory and non-binary experiences.
As ever, Flama is the perfect opportunity to discover up-and-coming photographers and their work. Don’t miss it.
