Newcastle-upon-Tyne's Pigs x7 (as their name is generally, mercifully shortened to), have been rightly lauded for bringing new life to the genre of stoner-metal since their 2017 debut LP Feed the Rats. That album and their subsequent full-length efforts (2018's King of Cowards, 2020's Viscerals and Land of Sleeper, from last year) showcase a level of songwriting and lyrical nuance not always associated with metal, with Matt Baty's alternately guttural and high-pitched singing about existential dread and societal decay backed with music that brings doom-metal, hard rock and sludge influences to bear on their stoner-metal foundations.

Pigs x7's reputation as a live band is truly fearsome, so bring your earplugs and expect a serious wall of noise from start to finish. Support comes from an equally reliable source of sweaty rock fun in the shape of New Jersey's Wyldlife, who'll be playing the final date on their "Insane in Spain" tour, which from a look at their Instagram page will have been aptly named.
