Sala Montjuïc is one of Barcelona’s best summer moments: open-air cinema, live music and picnics under the starry night sky. After a special edition away from its usual home, the beloved film cycle returns to Montjuïc Castle with 16 nights of original-version screenings, pre-film concerts and an amazing atmosphere.

This year’s programme mixes new releases and big-screen classics, with titles including Flowers for Antonio, Marty Supreme, Los domingos, Hamnet, Sirat, One Battle After Another, Three Goodbyes, Bugonia, Fargo, Blue Moon, Thelma & Louise, Sinners, Amadeus and Cinema Paradiso.

Before each film starts, there’ll be live music from local performers, and a selection of food to enjoy while you watch the film. Basic entrance is €12, though there are combos that include chairs. Not only do you get to watch great movies, you get to check out the incredible view overlooking the Mediterranean. Perfect for a night out with friends, or a first date.
