B-Retina returns for its 11th edition with its Redux theme. Created in 2015 as a tribute to the neighbourhood cinemas that disappeared from Cornellà and Barcelona’s outskirts, the festival has become a cult gathering for B-movies, “trash cinema”, horror and the unclassifiable.

This year, you can expect impossible creatures, crazy ideas and underground filmmaking that ignore conventional cinema. Programme highlights include Super Xuxa contra O Baixo Astral, Head Like a Hole, Big City Pizza, The Thingy: Confessions of a Teenage Placenta and Buffet Infinity. Alongside the screenings comes B-Retina’s competitive strand, activities and guests.

Celebrating a genre that thrives on creativity and cult appeal, B-Retina has grown into a key event for fans of alternative cinema, while championing the work of emerging talent in the industry.
