BCN Film Fest 2025
By Charlotte Stace

One of the best things about Sant Jordi is how the city comes alive with culture in all its forms - and one standout event is the BCN Film Fest (Barcelona Sant Jordi International Film Festival). Returning this spring, it’s dedicated to films that celebrate literature, history and biography. Unlike the city’s other film festivals, this one focuses on cinematic works inspired by literary texts, real historical events and cultural icons.
This year’s programme brings together a fresh mix of national and international films, including Casa en Flames, Hit Man, Caída Libre, Daaaaaali!, Handling the Undead, and Just the Two of Us. Whether art-house or mainstream, each film is united by the festival’s commitment to one common denominator: quality.
Screenings take place across some of Barcelona’s best venues, making it a must-attend cultural event for anyone passionate about film, literature and history. Tickets start at 4.90 Euros and can be bought online.
