Choreoscope 2024
By Charlotte Stace
The Choreoscope International Dance Film Festival seeks to connect the worlds of dance and film, promoting Barcelona as the Mediterranean capital of both art forms.
As the festival’s theme suggests, it aims to celebrate one art form within another - a space where dance meets cinema. Its main aim is to encourage the development, research, promotion and dissemination of dance, body movement, film, and non-verbal language, as well as to promote artists to a wider, international audience.
Until October 20th, attendees will be able to enjoy a range of films that have dance at their core. This year’s highlights include Once Again (For the Very First Time), Obsessed with Light, Quantum Dance, 2XXXPLICIT, Xerinola, and Douglas Rosenberg. Spaces such as the Filmoteca de Catalunya, Candy Darling, Cinema Malda, and Filmin (on October 24th), will host the film showings. See the full programme of events online.
