Cinema fest 2025

The 2025 edition of Spain's Fiesta del Cine returns, offering cinema tickets for just €3.50 across over 300 cinemas nationwide. With the rise of streaming platforms, cinema-going has taken a hit in recent years. But, for me, the cinema experience is and always has been unparalleled; popcorn covered seats, the dimming of the lights, strangers laughing in the seat next to you. Pure magic.
This initiative aims to help revive public interest in cinema-going by encouraging people to go and see new films on the big screen. And it’s aimed at the whole family with a range of genres, including comedies, thrillers, animations and documentaries.
So what’s on offer this year? The lineup includes major releases such as Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the animated feature Garfield, Spanish thriller Segundo Premio, and Disney’s Inside Out 2. While the programme features a series of blockbusters, it also spotlights local and international indie films too, showing support for filmmakers across the board.
