The Health, Rights, Action Film Fest (Mostra de Cinema: Salut, Drets, Acció) returns. This unique film festival uses cinema to raise awareness about the intersection of environmental crises and public health. This year's program focuses on planetary health, featuring screenings that highlight the impact of ecological degradation on human well-being. The festival aims to foster critical thinking and promotes action towards environmental justice.

The screenings include the feature documentary Saudades Rio Doce, which looks at the aftermath of a mining disaster in Brazil and its effects on local communities. Short films like Echoes of the Rainforest and El futuro está en nuestros territorios examine the challenges faced by indigenous and Afro-descendant communities in the Amazon as a result of climate change and illegal mining. The programme aims to provide a platform for marginalised voices and emphasises the urgency of environmental conservation.

In addition to screenings, there’ll be panels with experts and activists, with in-depth discussions on a range of topics.
