Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair is Quentin Tarantino’s preferred, rarely screened four-and-a-half hour fusion of Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Kill Bill: Volume 2, which turns the saga of The Bride into a single, four-hour revenge epic. Starring Uma Thurman, it follows a former assassin betrayed by her mentor and lover, Bill, and left for dead on her wedding day. Awakening from a coma, she embarks on a globe-spanning quest to kill the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad.

The Whole Bloody Affair reorders sequences and, most notably, restores the House of Blue Leaves fight in full colour, sharpening the balletic violence and pulp influences. Blending kung fu cinema, spaghetti westerns and exploitation film homage, it convincingly blends the original two distinct halves into a single, sweeping whole. It is showing in several Barcelona cinemas, but tickets for this screening include a pre-party one hour before screening time, with a free Campari spritz and DJ set. There will be a break in the screening of around 15 minutes at 9.30pm.
