LATcinema 2025

The LATcinema Fest celebrates its 4th edition this March at the Cinemes Girona. This year's festival expands its reach, showcasing a diverse selection of Latin American films that covers stories from across the continent, ranging from Mexico to Argentina, Cuba, Bolivia and beyond.
As usual, the program addresses themes such as freedom, access to resources, youth challenges and abuse. In addition to the screenings, workshops will run alongside the screenings that provide an opportunity to engage with some of the filmmakers.
This year, the festival introduces its first retrospective on renowned Chilean actor Alfredo Castro, honouring his significant contributions to Latin American cinema. While the complete lineup is yet to be announced, the festival promises to continue its tradition of presenting a range of narratives that reflect the rich tapestry of Latin American cultures. All films will be screened in original language without subtitles.
