Open-air cinema at L’Illa Diagonal brings an easy, neighbourhood feel to our summer calendar. Across July, you’ll be able to catch films in their original version with Spanish subtitles, warm evening air, a relaxed crowd and the chance to swap a regular cinema seat for something a little more outdoorsy.

This year’s programme brings us a selection of fairly recent cinema, with titles including Incontrolable (Jul 9th), Mi amiga Eva (Jul 16th), Hamnet (Jul 23rd) and Calle Málaga (Jul 30th). If you’d like to accompany your film with food and drink, you can buy take away food at the restaurants in L'illa and have dinner during the session, or enjoy a dinner beforehand at one of the local restaurants.

It’s less of a grand spectacle (like Sala Montjuic) and more easy summer vibes - exactly the kind of plan that makes a weekday evening feel like a holiday treat.
