La Filmoteca brings Dario Argento’s cult masterpiece, Phenomena (1985), returning to the big screen in its original, uncut glory. This horror classic features an all-star cast including Jennifer Connelly, Donald Pleasence, Daria Nicolodi and Patrick Bauchau.
The story follows an American teenager (Connelly) at a remote Swiss boarding school who discovers her psychic ability to communicate with insects. She uses this unusual gift to track down a serial killer preying on young girls in and around the school.
Initially released in Italy, Phenomena was later acquired by New Line Cinema for U.S. distribution. However, over 20 minutes were cut and it was retitled Creepers. Don’t miss this rare chance to experience Argento’s full-length visionary horror as it was meant to be seen - on the big screen.
