Sala Montjuic: Blade Runner/Belen Natali
By Kit Macdonald

Sala Montjuic's season of al fresco films is in full swing, and this screening of Ridley Scott's 1982 sci-fi classic looks like a treat among treats. As usual, the film will be preceded by some carefully chosen live music, and the guest this time is Belén Natali, an Argentinian artist based in Barcelona who "organically navigates pop/lo-fi rhythms with R&B and jazzy reminiscences, without overlooking her love for Jamaican or hip-hop music".
Natali takes to the stage at 8.45pm, and at 10pm it'll be over to Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer and Daryll Hannah for what is quite simply a landmark in cinema history, as former special police brigade member Rick Decard is recalled to service and tasked with finding and destroying a group of rebellious replicants in a rain-sodden, perpetually dark and dank 2019 Los Angeles.
