Transhumant Film Festival
By Charlotte Stace

One of the most important and inspiring events for cinema lovers comes back to the city for a new edition. The Transhumant Film Festival focuses entirely on social transformation, and features short films, full length films and documentaries that aim to educate audiences on social issues globally.
The programme will showcase both national and international films alongside photojournalism projects that explore social, political, environmental and historical themes. It highlights works that advocate for human rights and environmental stewardship, celebrate positive human connections and cultural diversity, and uphold the principles of gender equality.
The lineup this year features a range of films, both new and old: The Eight Mountains (2024), Louise Violet (2024), La Miranda Oculta (2023), El Arbol de la Muralla (2012), and Toyland (2007). Films will be shown at a range of venues across Catalunya, and also online at Filming.
