Eterna has changed its name and moved uptown, but its history goes back to Steel of Doom, the studio Tony Black founded in Sant Pau in 2015. Piercer Laura Blu joined him in 2019, and two years later the business opened a larger second space near La Boqueria, with six tattooers and two piercers. The Sant Pau studio closed in 2023. In 2025 they adopted the Eterna name and moved to Carrer de Reus in la Bonanova, where Laura and Tony now run a two-person studio.

For a teenager who came with her mother to have her navel pierced, Laura helped ease the nerves. She pierces freehand with needles and uses internally threaded, implant-grade titanium jewelry to the ASTM F-136 standard. Her work ranges from ear, facial and navel piercings to nipple and genital piercings, microdermals and inverted-nipple correction. The studio sends written care instructions afterward and invites questions.

Tony works in realism, with portraits of people and pets among his tattoos, along with animals and full realist sleeves. He also takes on cover-ups of old tattoos. Both tattooing and piercing are by appointment only, with piercing appointments booked through WhatsApp.
