Dinosaurium
By Charlotte Stace
The latest immersive exhibition at IDEAL Centre d'Arts Digitals, Dinosaurium takes visitors on a journey back 240 million years, when prehistoric creatures ruled the Earth. This exhibition aims to take us beyond museum displays and dinosaur skeletons behind glass, by bringing the prehistoric world to life. It’s your chance to walk among dinosaurs at their actual size.
Spread across seven spaces, the exhibition combines projections, virtual reality, interactive installations and fossil reproductions. Highlights include a 20 minute film exploring the latest palaeontological discoveries, a virtual world where visitors can interact with dinosaurs, and a 360-degree experience recreating the asteroid impact that brought their time on earth to an end.
Developed with scientific guidance from the Catalan Institute of Palaeontology, the exhibition promises both imagination and science. It's a great day out for the little ones and those adults who secretly wish Jurassic Park were real.
