La Mercè Fireworks on the Beach 2026

La Mercè’s free fire show comes as part of the 27th International Fireworks Festival. It brings pyrotechnics, light and music to the seafront, turning the night sky into one big, banging celebration. This year, the festival welcomes fireworks companies from Catalunya, Italy and Portugal, each bringing its own style of colour and rhythm. The impressive thing about this festival is that these are choreographed displays, with timing, scale and spectacle all carefully shaped for maximum impact.
Of course, no fireworks display at the beach is complete without food and drink. So make sure to bring along your picnic blanket, some nibbles and a bottle (or two) cava to really enjoy the full experience. La Mercè has plenty of traditions, but this is one of the easiest to love. It’s big, bright and bold.
