Patrim’25: Look in Silence. That Blues Look
By Charlotte Stace

PATRIM’25: Look in silence. That blues look offers a snapshot of emerging artistic talent from the Universitat de Barcelona’s Faculty of Fine Arts. Held annually for more than three decades, PATRIM selects standout final-year works and helps move young artists from the academic world into the professional exhibition space.
This edition brings together projects by Abril Alcalde Benedicto, Maria Baron Comes, Sara Gázquez, Guillem Ortega Santos, Julia Mayer and Irene Realle. Their works move through somatic experience, shadow, memory, post-industrial landscapes, blue-tinged atmospheres and reflections on guilt, silence and the body.
As part of the collaboration between the Faculty of Fine Arts and Fundació Vila Casas, the selected pieces will enter the university’s fine arts collection, giving the exhibition a lasting legacy beyond the gallery. Running until October, this offers a unique chance to see up-and-coming artists and their work.
