“Small, Middle and Big” Family Space
By Charlotte Stace

Small, Middle and Big turns the CCCB into a family space for children and their grown-ups, designed as a place to play, rest, read, draw and imagine together. Rather than a fixed exhibition, it’s a flexible creative environment where families can slow down and think about the city through books, games and a range of different activities.
The theme is urban life: what cities were like, what they could become, and where we might live in the future - underground, on the surface or in the air. Children can draw imagined cities, build paths and stories with wood and tunnels, connect people with coloured threads and explore illustrated books for inspiration.
There will also be weekly workshops that add extra ways for children to play and create, from making memory maps and designing paving stones to inventing parks in the sky.
