CaixaForum will be showing The New Bauhaus: The Life and Legacy of Moholy-Nagy by the American producer, director and writer, Alysa Nahmias, on Friday 8th October at 7pm.

In the 1920s, the multi-talented, talented and charismatic artist László Moholy-Nagy was a visionary teacher at the legendary and respected Bauhaus school of design, architecture and urbanism in Germany. Nahmias’s documentary traces Moholy-Nagy's eventful journey through the emblematic institution until his departure for the United States in 1937, where he founded the New Bauhaus in the city of Chicago. With archive footage and interviews, this documentary plunges us into a period of great dynamism in the history of architecture and design.

The film will be shown in English with subtitles in Spanish. You can book tickets in advance via the museum’s website.
