Improviser, composer, saxophonist and all-around talented musician, Alex Hitchcock, is one of the most prominent names in contemporary jazz in the UK and beyond. His international dimension transcends borders and captivates musicians and experts worldwide.
As a prolific and multi-award winning composer and bandleader, his writing is inspired by the unique and diverse voices of the musicians he works with. His new band is composed of exceptional musicians from the British, European and US jazz scenes: Dave Adewumi, sideman for Jason Moran and Ingrid Jensen; Lex Korten, collaborator of Melissa Aldana and Tyshawn Sorey; Orlando Le Fleming, serving Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts and Mark Guiliana; and JK Kim, drummer for Aaron Parks and Dayna Stephens.
