Swiss producer and accordion phenomenon Anatole Muster is at the heart of a new generation of jazz musicians treating genre boundaries as little more than suggestions. Aged just 23 and based in London, Muster's sound and outlook was shaped by internet-era eclecticism, and he expertly folds together jazz fusion, hyperpop, electronic production and emotional indie songwriting into a sound that is both technically dazzling and disarmingly playful. His accordion playing – often processed through synths and MIDI controllers – gives his music an instantly recognisable texture, turning a less-than-fashionable instrument into something futuristic, strange and boundary-pushing.

Muster has already collaborated with artists including Louis Cole and Tennyson and earned high praise from authorities including BBC Radio 2’s Jamie Cullum. A long and brilliant career beckons, and we highly recommend catching him near the start of it. Support comes from Ariadna Tubau, doors are at 8.30pm, and tickets are available on Dice.
