Anna setton
By Charlotte Stace

Brazilian jazz singer-songwriter and guitarist Anna Setton comes to perform at Jamboree this week. Known for blending a range of genres like jazz, bossa nova and Música Popular Brasileira, she’s shaped her personal musical style through years of performing in São Paulo's vibrant nightlife scene.
She made a name for herself with her self-titled debut album in 2018. Then, during the pandemic, she began performing weekly live shows, singing covers of hit Brazilian songs. This endeavor led to the album Onde Mora Meu Coração (2021), which featured collaborations with artists like Omara Portuondo and Sadao Watanabe. She’s now touring again with her latest record, O Futuro é Mais Bonito (2023).
She’ll be accompanied on stage by Edu Sangirardi on piano, Rogerio Pitomba on drums, and Thiago Alves on bass. Together, they’ll present a repertoire that includes original songs from each of Anna’s three albums, as well as unreleased tracks from her upcoming project.
