Bachcelona returns with its mission to make Bach feel alive and part of the city. Rather than treating classical music as something sealed behind concert hall doors, the festival brings Johann Sebastian Bach into dialogue with cinema, dance, jazz, architecture and contemporary performance.

The 2026 programme includes Opening Bach with the Bachcelona Akademie and Lluís Vilamajó, Sacred Polyphony by Ensemble Joan March, Breaking Bach, a Bach/Hindemith dialogue, Flash Bach sessions inspired by Pasolini and Buster Keaton, Bach al Palau with Anachronia and Barokkanerne, Swing Bach! in the gardens of Sant Pau, and a Cantatas Cycle featuring BWV 186 and 187. The result brings us baroque music in beautiful Barcelona spaces, reimagined through fresh and unexpected formats.
