Blaumarí Music Festival
By Charlotte Stace

There’s a new music festival in town. Blaumarí Music is a new boutique summer concert series, built around a simple idea: live music by the sea, with Port Vell transformed into an open-air stage for artists to perform. In a nutshell, it’s a unique waterfront experience, mixing concerts, gastronomy and a more intimate festival vibe.
Starting off strong, the lineup is broad and deliberately cross-generational, with names including Rosana, Kamasi Washington, Carlos Núñez, UB40 feat. Ali Campbell, The Cardigans, Gipsy Kings by André Reyes, SAU, Xoel López, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Joss Stone, Alan Parsons Live Project, James and Rufus Wainwright. There’ll also be special nights such as La Traviata, DJ Symphonic and Nit d’Havaneres.
Part pop festival, part elegant seaside concert, Blaumarí is the kind of music festival that works whether you’re there for jazz, soul, opera, Catalan rhythms, classical or pure disco.
