American singer Cécile McLorin Salvant is one of the most highly regarded jazz vocalists of her generation. Since starting out in 2010, she’s released seven albums - a whopping six of which have been nominated for Grammy Awards.
With her distinctive voice and ability to weave narratives through music, she’s established herself as an innovative force in the world of jazz. Her albums, including titles like WomanChild (2013), For One To Love (2015) and Dreams and Daggers (2017) are shining examples of her versatility, effortlessly blending jazz with blues, French chanson, German cabaret, Renaissance singing, and a myriad of other genres. And her latest album, Mélusine (2023), is no exception to the rule.
Now she comes to Barcelona to perform at Jamboree with her band - Sullivan Fortner (piano), Yasushi Nakamura (doublebass), and Kyle Poole (drums).
