Every Monday in July and August, Sala Apolo and In-Edit have presented CINECLUB 113, which has transformed La 3 into an open-air cinema. The programme has comprised nine music documentaries featured at the In-Edit Barcelona Festival in recent years that explore Latin music and club culture. This is the last of the nine, and as the rest of the screenings have been, it will be followed by a DJ set inspired by the film.

This week's doc is MaQKina: History of a Subculture – a passionate musical, emotional and sociological celebration of Mákina music. The film traces the development of the genre, "from its roots in the eclectic and avant-garde Valencian scene to its emergence in the early 1990s in Catalunya, where from venues such as Psicódromo, Chasis, Scorpia, Pont Aeri and X-Què? the genre ramped up its BPMs, swapped the ‘Q’ for a ‘K’ and spawned a huge business and an urban, working-class youth subculture that eventually became massive and even threatening in the eyes of the authorities". Doors are at 9pm and Ricardo F takes on DJ duties after the screening.
