Classical Music on the Beach 2026

Classical music heads to the sand with Clàssica a la Platja, Barcelona Obertura’s wonderful idea of taking the city’s big symphonic forces and moving them to the Mediterranean seafront. Organised with the Gran Teatre del Liceu, L’Auditori, the Palau de la Música Catalana and Barcelona City Council, it’s designed to bring classical music closer to everyone.
Across two open-air concerts, the programme features the Liceu Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, followed by the Barcelona Symphony and National Orchestra of Catalunya. They'll bring a mix of opera, orchestra and a crowd-friendly repertoire, performed on a grand scale.
Join around 30,000 listeners on the sand and soak up the moving live music - all set against the backdrop of the sun setting over the Mediterranean. What could be a more iconic Barcelona summer evening than that?
