July sees the return of Barcelona’s much-loved Cruïlla festival taking place at its usual home in the Parc del Fòrum. An impressive range of artists will perform across five stages over the long weekend.
Another of Cruïlla’s positive attributes is that it books artists from a wide range of musical styles, not limiting itself to one generic pigeonhole. Funk, hip hop and African music sit comfortably side-by-side with indie rock, Latin and a range of other styles. They support local artists too. Here is a quick run through of what you shouldn’t miss this year: Nicki Nicole, Sen Sendra, Ruben Blades, Tash Sultana, Bomba Estereo, The Offspring, Alt-J, Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros, Placebo, Moderat, Amaia, and The Guapos.
Cruïlla promises to be a festival of freedom, happiness and a lot of dancing. Day tickets start at 40 Euros, while full weekend tickets cost 160 Euros.
