Cyrille aimee
By Charlotte Stace
French jazz singer Cyrille Aimée comes to Jamboree with her fellow bandmates: Carl Henri Morisset (piano), Mateo Bortone (double bass), and Pedro Segundo (drums).
The daughter of a French father and Dominican mother, she was born into a multicultural environment where Antillean sounds mixed with jazz. She grew up in Samois-sur-Seine, the city where the prestigious Django Reinhardt Festival takes place and where she shaped her talent as an artist.
She later went to New York to pursue a career in music and caught the attention of renowned jazz figures including Roy Hargrove and Steve Sondheim. Her debut album, Move On (2019), was a tribute to Sondheim and earned her a Grammy nomination. Subsequent albums, such as Petite fleur (2021), and her latest work, À Fleur de Peau (2024), showcase the wide diversity of genres and styles she interprets.
Don’t miss her performing live. Tickets cost 40 Euros.
