Jimmy Wallace, aka, well, Wallace, has an equally Scottish-English background, but the name of his record label tells you on which side of Hadrian's Wall his affections truly lie. Wallace was raised in Shrewsbury but his Scottish roots (Edinburgh and Fife on his father's side) and time at university in Edinburgh were clearly formative, and his Tartan Records label is now established as one of the best new imprints in house music, while his melodious, natural and nature-focused DJing and production style has made him one of the most in-demand selectors in Europe and beyond this year.

Support comes from DJ Sandwich, the creator of the Digital Freedom concept and a leading light in the local scene, plus Jimcee, and the Melbourne-born selector Jmcee, who colourfully claims to be the owner of a "musical manifesto derived from the deep, symbolic lessons learnt from a parrot in the rainforest".
