Dirty honey
By Charlotte Stace
American rock band Dirty Honey comes to Sala Apolo. Hailing from Los Angeles, the group consists of singer Marc LaBelle, guitarist John Notto, bassist Justin Smolian, and drummer Jaydon Bean.
Heavily influenced by the sounds and success of bands such as Guns N'Roses, L.A. Guns, Led Zeppelin and Faster Pussycat, Dirty Honey put their own unique spin on classic hard rock. LaBelle even came up with the band's name after hearing Robert Plant refer to his group The Honeydrippers in a Howard Stern interview and thought it sounded like a "dirty" rock and roll name.
In 2021 the group released their self-titled debut album to critical acclaim. They now present their second studio album, Can't Find The Brakes, which was released late last year. This new record emphasises their uninterrupted rock star lifestyle on the road, travelling city to city, and harking back to the golden days of hard rock in the 70s and 80s.
