Funk Station
By Charlotte Stace

Funk Station started as a gathering of musicians around Barcelona - players who shared a deep love for funk, soul and groove, eager to revive the energy of analogue-era funk. The group consists of Pau Millán, Oriol Cot, Jose Borjas, Samuel Marthe, Rocío Angue Eson.
Funk Station formed when these musicians, coming from diverse backgrounds in jazz, rock, R&B and Latin, began meeting for regular jam sessions. What began as informal sessions gradually turned into a dedicated project: Funk Station became more than a hobby, but a mission to celebrate classic funk music and perform on the big stage. Over time, they’ve developed a signature sound rooted in deep basslines, soulful horns, grooving drums and the occasional Latin-influenced rhythm.
They come to Jamboree to present their second release, “Losing Mind”, an EP featuring original tracks and covers of artists like Thundercat and Sly & The Family Stone.
