Ganavya’s music is deeply intertwined with her background, reflecting a life lived between cultures. Born in New York, raised in India in a Tamil family, and later returning to the US, her songs blend folkloric traditions, weaving them together like a carefully crafted braid. Her work has been met with critical acclaim across the board, with the New York Times saying she’s 'the singer whose work feels like prayer…with listeners hanging onto her every word'.

Following two albums released in 2024 - like the sky I’ve been too quiet and Daughter of a Temple - Ganavya has now unveiled Nilam (2025), a record of jazz-folk craftsmanship that comes to us wrapped as carefully as one would wrap a family jewel. And it's no coincidence: Ganavya learned music from her grandmothers and mother, and now she shares that legacy with the world.

She comes to La Nau to perform as part of Primavera Tours. Tickets cost 22 Euros. Doors open at 7.30pm.
