Gee Tee began as a bedroom-recording project of frontman Kel Mason before expanding into a full band, and what a full band. According to Sala Upload, there were queues of people waiting to stage-dive the last time the Sydney group played there, and you can see why. They play a particularly frenzied strain of what has come to be known as egg-punk – tracks that barely break the two-minute mark and are a gloriously scrappy blend of garage punk, synth punk and power-pop.

Fuzzy guitars, cheap-sounding keyboards, primitive drum-machine rhythms and Mason’s yelping vocals conspire to produce songs that are deliberately cartoonish but surprisingly sophisticated underneath the noise. Support comes from locals Gripau, who are described as "direct disciples of that whole Australian school of radioactive punk", doors are at 8pm and tickets are on Dice.
