Island Beats Spring Edition
By Charlotte Stace

Island Beats: Spring Edition is Le Host’s late-night party held at Samambahia Street Food & Cocktails in the Eixample, built around Caribbean and Afro-diasporic club sounds rather than a typical mixed-top-40 session.
It’s rooted in the Afro-Caribbean club sounds: dancehall (Jamaica’s rhythmic club sound), shatta (a harder-edged style that grew out of the French Caribbean), konpa (Haitian dance music), plus bouyon and soca (carnival-ready styles) and more. If you’re after a dancefloor that leans into Afro genres and the crowd that comes with them, this is the one.
Tickets are €7.99 on earlybird, with €15 on the door. In short: it’s a fun way to welcome in Spring with one venue, one mood, and a musical lineup designed for people who actually want to dance.
