Jackies

Nine years after launching in Barcelona, Jackies celebrates the house music community it has carried to dancefloors around the world. Its name is a nod to Steve “Silk” Hurley’s 1986 classic “Jack Your Body”, and its anniversary returns that original Chicago spirit to an open-air setting at La Terrrazza.
Headliner Hunee sets the tone for the occasion. The Bochum-born DJ began behind the counter of a Berlin record shop before releasing early twelve-inch records and joining Amsterdam label Rush Hour. His 2015 debut album, Hunch Music, and 2018 compilation Hunchin’ All Night revealed a crate-digger capable of threading house, disco, techno, jazz, funk and African rhythms into one incredible journey. Joining the celebration is New York house veteran Hector Romero and Barcelona favourites Piem and Nesi.
