J.G. Biberkopf x Einaidea

This intriguing show is the result of a collaboration between Casa Montjuic and the EINA University School of Design and Art, and in particular with the participants in a workshop at EINA Bosc. J.G. Biberkopf, aka Gediminas Žygus, is a Lithuanian artist based in Berlin who "investigates the ways in which sound constructs subjectivities and collective bonds."
He works in the space between narrative design, performance and sound architecture, and has presented work at the Barbican in London, Paris's Centre Pompidou and the Venice Biennale. His sound, which has been accurately described by Pitchfork as "a liquid, digital audio collage of distressed electronics and manipulated field recordings," has been captured on a handful of excellent records, most recently last year's second full-length album, The Seed, The Sinkhole, The Flower And The Flare.
