British musician Joe Armon-Jones takes over La Nau, delivering one of the most exciting contemporary jazz-inflected performances on tour.
Known for his collaborations with the likes of Nubya Garcia, Moses Boyd and the Ezra Collective, he continues to push boundaries with his own compositions. His debut album, Starting Today, was released in 2018 and his second album, Turn To Clear View, in 2019, with Time magazine listing it as one of the top 10 albums of the year.
This year marks the musician’s most ambitious venture to date - the two-part project All The Quiet. Across its two volumes, he builds both a sonic journey and an imaginative narrative. Set in the distant year 3999, the albums envision a world where music has almost vanished, kept alive only by a small band of artists sheltering in the last surviving studio. Whether you’re a jazz fan or simply curious, this concert is a must-see.
