American singer-songwriter John Grant comes to Sala Apolo on a tour that presents his latest album 1973 ().

Born Buchanan, Michigan, he first made his name as the co-founder and main songwriter of The Czars (active through 2006). After the band split up, he stepped away from music for several years working various jobs in New York, before returning with a solo career that quickly drew major attention and a solid fanbase.

His solo run began with Queen of Denmark (2010) (which Mojo named Album of the Year), followed by Pale Green Ghosts (2013) (which became Rough Trade’s Album of the Year. He’s since released Grey Tickles, Black Pressure (2015), Love Is Magic (2018), Boy from Michigan (2021) and The Art of the Lie (2024), alongside major collaborations across pop and indie worlds.
