Levitation Room are one of the leading lights of psych garage and lysergic pop worldwide, and last appeared in Barcelona, where they have a dedicated following, at Barcelona Psych Fest 2023. Formed in East Los Angeles in 2012 by singer-guitarist Julian Porte and guitarist Gabriel Fernandez, the group developed a distinctive style built from jangling guitars, dreamy harmonies and a laid-back, sun-drenched atmosphere. Their music channels influences such as The Beatles, The Kinks and other psych and garage-rock pioneers through a modern indie lens.Support comes from Gramola, a new band that blends "neo-psychedelia, progressive rock and echoes of Mediterranean folk". With a line-up that includes members of Teana, Elle León, Supermeganada and Celestial Bums, they are nothing short of a small-scale local psychedelic supergroup.
