Maria Hein, the Balearic musical sensation, has already won a place on the Mallorcan music podium. But now she’s coming for the rest of the world.
She began studying piano at the age of four and later learned guitar. Then, during high school she sang in a cover-band with friends and began writing her own material. Her breakthrough came after she released the single “Idò un cafè” in 2020; she then signed with Hidden Track Records and the rest, as they say, is history.
Her debut studio album, Continent i Contingut (2021), introduced Maria’s delicate, introspective sound. Her second album, Tot allò que no sap ningú (2023), shows a more adventurous turn, exploring pop, dance-hall and electronic sounds while still rooted in her Mediterranean voice and Catalan lyrics. She’s gone from strength to strength, and now the 22 year-old is back with her latest record, KATANA (2025).
