María Peláe
By Charlotte Stace

María Peláe is a Málaga-born singer-songwriter with flamenco in her bones. Known for mixing tradition with contemporary sounds, she first picked up a guitar as a teenager, and the rest is history.
Her career began independently - her debut album Hipocondría (2016) was released via crowdfunding - and she later expanded her sound with La folcrónica (2022), co-written with Alba Reig and featuring collaborations with artists like Pastora Soler and Vanesa Martín. She’s also written songs connected to Spain’s Eurovision and has become a familiar TV presence, placing third on Tu cara me suena and competing at Benidorm Fest 2024 with “Remitente.”
This concert at Sala Apolo is a part of Guitar BCN 2026 and focuses on her fourth album, El Evangelio (2025). Tickets for this are likely to sell out first, so make sure to grab yours soon.
