MICELI 2026
By Kit Macdonald

MICELI is "a small-scale, non-profit festival that operates through independent venues to enact its core purpose: to explore 'unselfing music' through a collective act of sound and presence." This is its debut edition, and it already looks like putting that lofty mission statement into action in fine style. It will build slowly – a small opening party at Cementiri de Montjuïc on April 29 features Abul Mogard and Asia Live, while the festival proper starts the day after with a four-act bill at El Pumarejo.
Things then click into high gear for two days, with shows at Casa Montjuïc, Laut, Sala Upload and Sala Meteoro. Top picks include Seefeel, Johnny Nash, Al Wooton, Cindytalk, Tristwch Y Fenywod and Universal Comfort. See the Miceli website or Resident Advisor for further details on who's playing when, and Dice for tickets.
